Queensland Scouting Association #172 - Cubs

8 - 10 years of age for Boys and Girls.

The cub program emphasizes teamwork as well as the beginnings of guided independent earnings. There are many mini programs that Cubs can work on with visual and group recognition. Many of our Cub programs are designed with the great outdoors in mind.

- Challenging hikes
- Weekend camps
- Introduction to water activities like canoeing or kayaking
- Zip lines
- Cub car races
- Community involvement
- Individual programs where the Cub will earn badges to display proudly.

These are just a few of the fun adventures that your Cub will enjoy.

With the Cub motto of "Do Your Best" front and centre, Cubs are encouraged to try new and more challenging activities.

Learning important first aid skills, paddling a canoe for the first time, or leading a game at camp will open the door for Cubs to try other adventures they never thought possible.

Cubs also experience an exciting variety of other activities: games and sports, model-building, music, story-telling and play-acting. And like Beavers, Cubs enjoy their adventures with their friends, weekend events, picnics, short nature hikes and family based camping opportunities round out the Cub experience.

Our Cub Leaders are...

Wendy Armstrong - Section Leader
Constance Fekete - Leader
Debra Klein - Leader
